Our pulse jet filter suppliers have installed more than 100,000 systems all over the world. Our comprehensive applications database allows us to review similar applications so we can recommend the best, proven solution for your operation.
Six Design Configurations
We offer 6 basic designs to choose from:
Our Technology is a design enhancement that can improve performance and save space.
Technology
Our supplier is ongoing investment in R&D has netted more than 20 patents, and assures that you receive the highest quality and most efficient system available. Several years of research has yielded two designs which can increase collector air-to-cloth ratios 12-32%, lower pressure drop 29-57%, and improve dust discharge 50-75%. This all adds up to savings on capital equipment, operating expense, and maintenance over the life of the equipment.
Bag Access
Our collectors provide access to the filter bags through either of three ways:
How The pulse jet filter Works
The dust-tight Pulsaire has three sections: a clean-air plenum at the top, a filtration housing containing a number of cylindrical filter bags in the middle, and a dust storage hopper at the bottom. The filter bags are supported from a tube sheet which separates the filtration housing from the plenum.
Dust laden air enters the collector through a diffuser (1) which absorbs the impact of the high velocity dust particles, distributes the air, and reduces its velocity. The slower air speed causes the heavier particles to drop into the hopper. The air stream then flows through the filter bags (2), depositing the fine dust on the outside of the bag. The CLEANED air continues upward into the plenum and exhausts into the atmosphere (3).
Filter bags are cleaned by a momentary, high pressure back-pulse of compressed air from the clean side of the bag. The pulses are delivered by blowpipes (4), arranged over each row of bags, incorporating orifice nozzles directed into the center of each bag. The bursts of air are optimized by venturis located at the top of the bags to effectively dislodge dust along the length of the bag.
Cleaning cycles are timed by a Model 72 solid state 10-position timer. A differential pressure (between the clean and dirty sides) gauge helps determine cleaning frequency.
Construction
Collectors and system components are normally constructed from carbon steel. Also available are 300 Series Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C-276, C-22, or other exotic metals.
All collectors are designed to meet applicable industry codes, and are welded to minimum standard of AWS D1.1. If you have special code requirements, such as ASME pressure vessel code or 3A sanitary design requirements, we can meet your needs.
